Mindful Business Charter

The Mindful Business Charter is a cross business community of employer organisations focussed on removing the unnecessary stress in the ways we work so we can work more healthily and more effectively. With roots in the legal profession, it is based around a charter which provides a permissive framework, a common language and the permission to talk about what we need and don’t need to do our jobs with the minimum possible stress. Founded by the in house legal team at Barclays and two of their panel law firms, Pinsent Masons and Addleshaw Goddard, it now has over 130 members around the world. It is based on the simple idea that while raising awareness of mental health and providing supports for those who are struggling are important, the most effective workplace strategy around mental health is to address the workplace causes of mental distress.
