Andrew Masraf
Andrew is the Senior Partner and chairs the firm’s Board, Remuneration and Partnership Committee and ESG Committee. He is Board champion for Race & Ethnicity and Social Mobility and sponsored a new approach to pro bono support across the firm.
Andrew has ultimate responsibility for the leadership of Pinsent Masons. He was elected with a mandate to ensure the firm is “Thinking Like a 21st Century Business” and he has introduced broader thinking through advice and briefings from private equity clients, senior executives and a political adviser and global economist.
His role is to develop our strategy to be a purpose-led, multinational professional services business with law at its core. The success of this strategy relies on cultivating a firm whose social and environmental responsibilities are part of its DNA, is a leader in excellence and innovation and which celebrates the importance of a diverse workforce.
The nurturing of talent is important to Andrew. He led a team which developed a growth mind-set strategy in collaboration with Matthew Syed (the former Olympic table tennis player and now author and journalist) which achieved recognition from across the legal industry.
Andrew joined the firm as a trainee in 1993.
