Elton Dorkin

Elton Dorkin is an experienced, global Chief Medical Officer, with over 20 years of experience in various sectors including mining, insurance and health service delivery. He currently holds the role of Chief Medical Officer, Rio Tinto. He leads the development and implementation of corporate health strategies, covering workplace health and wellbeing, health insurance, pandemic preparedness and response, health technology, and health analytics. As part of this, he leads and influences large, global teams, supporting health systems in multiple geographies. Elton’s competencies include designing and executing innovative and effective health solutions that protect and improve health, enhance business performance, promote people inclusion and retention; and contribute to social and environmental sustainability. He is passionate about advancing global health, and the role that business can play to support that.
