KARL SIMONS OBE

Karl Simons is recognised as one of the world’s leading authorities regarding mental health strategy within business. His advice is regularly sought by Government on matters of mental health and safety and is appointed as Advisor to the Prime Ministers Cabinet Office. Karl presently holds the role of Chief Futurist at the Artificial Intelligence organisation FYLD. He is a lecturer at the University of Cambridge, a member of the UK National Forum for Health & Wellbeing, a member of the Society of Leadership Fellows of Windsor Castle and holds a position as Non-Executive Director on the Board of the global organisation ‘Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor’. His work globally for over 35 years, has led to leadership positions across all continents and in numerous safety critical industries including Defence, oil, gas, minerals, rail, roads, construction, and utilities. In 2020, Karl was awarded an OBE by HM Queen Elizabeth II for his work nationally regarding ‘Services to Mental Health Policy’ and in 2019 was voted ‘The Most Influential Person in Health & Safety’ by the 600,000 global readers of SHP.
