Dr Emma Jones
Dr Emma Jones is a Senior Lecturer of Law at the University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on wellbeing and emotions in legal education and the legal profession and she has authored a wide range of publications on these topics. Emma is an International Bar Association Wellbeing Commissioner and leads on the development and implementation of the IBA Guidelines for Wellbeing in Legal Education. She worked with the charity LawCare on its 2021 Life in the Law report and leads on the development of its Fit for Law suite of online resources for legal professionals. She is also a University Mental Health Charter Assessor, Chair of the Association of Law Teachers, General Editor of The Law Teacher: International Journal of Legal Education and a member of the Law Society of England and Wales’ Learning and Development Steering Group. Emma began her career as a solicitor in private practice before moving in academia.
