Paul Davison

Paul is the CEO and founder of the multi-award-winning organisation PPWD.  PPWD employ a Compassionate Safety approach to evolving fair cultures within safety critical industries.  PPWD improves human performance, through the design and delivery of non-technical skills, leadership programmes, investigation, coaching and learning review courses.  Employing their proprietary sticky learning methods, safety by people, not by numbers generates thriving and flourishing environments.  These accommodate the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs of colleagues.  Such well beings make better safety, performance, and customer experience decisions.  

As an ex-Royal Air Force (RAF) officer and helicopter pilot, Paul experienced 17 years’ service, including operational tours in Kosovo, Northern Ireland and Iraq.  During a 7-year period at the RAF College, Cranwell, he instructed students and trained trainers.  Before moving through several senior manager roles including officer training and being responsible for the design and delivery of all theoretical and practical leadership courses. 

As a volunteer with the RAF Air Cadets he is responsible for the risk and performance management of Central and East Region.  With the British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association he has mentored the Olympic Team Leader, supported the bid process and is now a non-executive Director.
