Sheikha Maytha Bint Maktoum

Sheikha Maytha Bint Maktoum has built her career around a question that is becoming increasingly urgent: how can innovation improve human wellbeing without losing sight of the people it is meant to serve?

An impact investor and philanthropist with more than 15 years of experience across the private and public sectors, her work spans human behaviour, mental health, technology, sustainability and social impact. Her academic background includes psychology, investigative psychology and business psychology, giving her a multidisciplinary perspective on how people think, behave and respond to change.

She is the Founder of MindFriend, an AI-powered mental-health ecosystem bringing together conversational AI, AI-supported assessment and practitioner tools, access to verified professionals, and expert-led public education.

Her work increasingly focuses on the relationship between AI and human behaviour: how technology is reshaping the way people think, communicate, work and seek emotional support, and what responsible innovation should look like as AI becomes more deeply embedded in everyday life.

Alongside MindFriend, Sheikha Maytha invests in and supports impact-led initiatives across mental health, psychology and environmental sustainability. She brings together the perspectives of an investor, founder and someone with a longstanding background in psychology to explore the human consequences of technological change, particularly around cognition, identity, mental health, human connection and responsibility.
