Louise started her career as a fashion buyer at Marks & Spencer and transitioned into campaigning by taking health into fashion to support the government’s national skin cancer prevention programme. As Creative Director at COI, she has led campaigns including World Mental Health Day, 5 A DAY and FRANK.
Since joining Business in the Community, Louise has campaigned to establish employee wellbeing as a core responsible business component and a strategic boardroom issue.
The campaign has produced ground breaking research, including a three-year national survey cycle of mental health at work through a line manager lens.
Under Louise’s leadership, BITC’s Wellbeing Campaign takes a whole person, whole system approach to supporting thriving people, thriving business and thriving communities.
The success of the campaign has been built on a collaborative approach with business, government and third sector partners.
In partnership with Public Health England, BITC has co-produced a suite of innovative, interconnected toolkits consolidating the best evidence, freely available resources and employer practice on topics including mental health, sleep and recovery, suicide, musculoskeletal health, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and physical activity, healthy eating and healthier weight.

One of a relatively small number of Chartered Directors, Shaun is a dynamic and solution-focussed compliance and
sustainability executive with extensive experience across a broad portfolio and operating at a global level. Currently working
within a FTSE100 listed business with experience in FTSE250 and private equity-backed businesses, Shaun’s expertise includes
driving sustainable and ethical change within corporate health, safety, environment and sustainability, corporate security,
and regulatory compliance.
He is currently Chair of the Berkshire Branch of The Institute of Directors and acts a trustee of
four charities: The Men’s Health Forum, The Rowland Hill Fund (Deputy Chair), The Business Disability Forum and The
Society of Occupational Medicine. He is also a Board member and Treasurer of the European Chief Compliance and
Integrity Officers Forum (ECCIOF), a long-standing member of the Business in the Community (BITC) Workwell Leadership
Team 1 and a Member of the National Forum on Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace. Shaun also acts as vice chair and
director of strategy for the pan-European mental health campaign ‘Target Depression in the Workplace’. He was appointed
as Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, School of Medicine in February 2018. Voted as one of
the 15 most influential in health and safety and a winner of The Institute of Directors ‘London & South – CSR Director of the
Year 2018 award, Shaun regularly contributes to contemporary debates, thought leadership, and campaigns. He has co-
authored two books Positive Male Mind and Positive Mental Health in 2018 and 2019 that explore mental health
management strategies. Shaun holds a Doctorate in Coaching and Mentoring, his research having explored the

As a mental health consultant, Laura uses experience of recovery from mental ill health and how she learnt to heal from an eating disorder after spending 8 months in an inpatient treatment centre in the US. Using the tools she learnt alongside her skills as a storyteller, Laura trains leaders in mental health awareness. She advises organisations on their mental health strategy and encourages leaders to realise the financial and moral benefits of putting wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.

Tina Woods is a social entrepreneur and pioneer in health innovation – connecting science, government, business and academia to align thinking and take action – solving real world problems and capitalising on new opportunities amidst uncertainty and change. She is Chief Executive, Executive Board Member & Director, Business for Health. She is also the Founder and CEO of Collider Health and Collider Science and Co-Founder and CEO of Longevity International that runs the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Longevity (APPGL). Marcus currently leads the EMEA Global Health Service team at Johnson and Johnson. This award-winning Occupational Health, Wellbeing programme underpinned by its HealthForce 2020 strategy supports 45,000 colleagues across the pharmaceutical, medical devices and consumer business.
Marcus has diverse clinical and leadership experience. During the early chapter of his career he delivered direct employee care services as a musculoskeletal specialist in Occupational Health. During the last 10 years he transitioned into operational and strategic management of Occupational health and wellbeing services. More recently he has further focused his expertise by studying MSc Occupational Psychology.

Fiona qualified as a registered general nurse in 1995. Fiona spent her earlier nursing career working in cancer and palliative health and worked in Ireland, Australia & Saudi Arabia before specialising in Health & Safety and Occupational Health.
Fiona completed her Diploma in Health, Welfare at Safety at Work from UCD Ireland in 2001 and completed her Diploma & MSc in Occupational Health at the University of Surrey in 2011.
Fiona has worked since 2003 in a variety of different industries such as car manufacturing, utilities and beverages as an Occupational Health Nurse in senior roles and spent 4 years working for a large Insurance provider as Head of Rehabilitation overseeing the delivery of vocational rehabilitation for Group Income Protection customers.
Fiona’s current position is working at HS2 as Head of Occupational Health & wellbeing leading the occupational health & wellbeing strategy.

Jonny is an award-winning Finance professional who feels passionately about the role of mental fitness in the workplace. As a kid growing up in Glasgow facing life’s tough realities, Jonny uses the power of his lived mental health experience to champion the importance of mental fitness in business and beyond.
Prior to his current position as a Finance Director at Starbucks, Jonny was Strategy & Transformation Director at pladis, the global snacking business which brings together iconic brands including McVitie’s and Godiva. As the Executive Board sponsor for Mental Health, he led the Employee Mental Health & Wellbeing initiative, which led to the national “Let’s Talk” partnership between McVitie’s and mental health charity, Mind.

Tara Mansfield is the Head of People at Monzo Bank. She’s been at Monzo for just over three years, following career stints spanning the fields of education, finance and social services. Named one of the top 15 most influential women in HR by Perkbox in 2019, Tara has pioneered a modern approach to mental health at Monzo, making sure that mental health awareness is a key focus of day to day life, rather than being the focus one week a year. Yulia O’Mahony believes that sustainable high performance can be achieved only when there is an open, trusting culture, and promotion of individuals’ wellbeing, rooted in a holistic approach to people’s health.
She is the Global Head of Health & Resilience at Philip Morris International, responsible for developing a global wellbeing framework and strategy, a role she took up in April 2021.
Previously, she become the John Lewis Partnership’s first ever Head of Wellbeing and D&I in 2017. In this role, she crafted a new aspirational vision for culture of wellbeing and inclusion and developed a strategy to realise it, collaborating with JLP’s senior leaders. She piloted and rolled out several innovative solutions, working with tech startups, as well as charities such as Samaritans and Wellcome Trust.
Yulia has a wealth of experience in strategy, operations, and finance, having worked for leading consulting firms such as Bain & Company and AlixPartners in USA and Europe, as well as holding senior commercial leadership roles in John Lewis Partnership.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, PG Certificate (distinction) in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London, and MA in computer science from Moscow State Academy of Management.

Victoria has recently taken on a new role as Head of Wellbeing at Anglian Water. She will be using her knowledge and expertise to further drive the Anglian Water health and wellbeing strategy forward by maximising opportunities for employee wellbeing, supporting their people to take informed responsibility for managing their own and others’ wellbeing. She has a clear understanding of the workplace both from a physical and psychological perspective and will help to drive the agenda forward in an innovative and solution focused way.
Prior to this new role, she was a senior Internal Communications Business Partner, leading employee communication for the organisation’s health, safety and wellbeing programme.

From a young age, Nick had a deep fascination with the human mind. While leading a team in the NHS, Nick became interested in corporate wellness, and how organisations can benefit from looking after their employees. Kendelle is the Product Manager of a bespoke Health & Safety non-technical behavioural competency assessment accompanied by learning and development solutions, Acre Frameworks. She is a trained research psychologist with a Master’s in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London and specialist knowledge in psychological diagnostics and assessment as well as treatment for affective disorders. She founded The Performance Club after years of observing that the key to positive mental health and sustained performance was self-awareness. Observing that the world was becoming more and more demanding, intolerant, and struggling with the overall management of the human condition. Ron Goetzel wears two hats. He is Senior Scientist and Director of the Institute for Health and Productivity Studies (IHPS) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Vice President of Consulting and Applied Research for IBM Watson Health. The mission of the IHPS is to bridge the gap between academia, the business community, and the healthcare policy world – bringing academic resources into policy debates and day-to-day business decisions and bringing worker health and productivity management concerns to academia. Before moving to Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Goetzel was on the faculty at Emory and Cornell Universities. Dr. Goetzel has published well over 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and frequently presents at international business and scientific forums.
Dr. Goetzel earned his doctorate in Organizational and Administrative Studies and his M.A. in Applied Social Psychology from New York University (NYU), and his B.S. degree in Psychology from the City College of New York (CCNY). He is based in Bethesda, MD.

Prior to Mind Share Partners, she served as the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer of Techbridge Girls and was a Principal on the Portfolio Team at the Skoll Foundation. DARCY GRUTTADARO, J.D.

Darcy Gruttadaro is the director of the Center for Workplace Mental Health. As director, she works with her team in developing and implementing the Center’s strategic direction in providing employers high impact tools and programs to support the mental health of employees and their families. The Center works with organizations of all sizes from Fortune 100 companies to small family owned businesses in creating effective approaches to improving the mental health and well-being of the workforce.
Before joining the Center, Ms. Gruttadaro served in senior level positions with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Ms. Gruttadaro has expertise in expanding evidence-based practices, improving early intervention, designing insurance coverage for mental health services and building an array of effective services and supports that promote resiliency and recovery. Ms. Gruttadaro has also worked with national organizations representing managed care organizations and practiced law with the Harris Beach law firm, concentrating her legal practice on health care and mental health issues. She served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of NY. Ms. Gruttadaro earned a BS degree from Clarkson University and a JD from Western New England University School of Law.


DR. CHARLES LATTARULO
AMERICAN EXPRESS

A psychologist with over 20 years of behavioral health experience, is the creator and Global Director of the Healthy Minds program at American Express. Prior to his role at American Express, Dr. Lattarulo served as Director of Behavioral Health at a home care agency, Clinical Director of an international Employee Assistance Program, and Director of Training and Clinical Instructor at a major metropolitan hospital.
His vast expertise includes corporate behavioral health, anxiety and stress, bereavement, and substance abuse issues. Dr. Lattarulo’s diverse role at American Express includes managing the company’s global mental health strategy, onsite EAP counselors, U.S. and global EAP vendor relationships, and behavioral health absence management. He also creates and ensures the viability of the company’s behavioral health programs and works to provide ad-hoc expertise across the organization. Has been with the organization for 8 years.


THERESA NGUYEN, LCSW
MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA

As MHA’s Chief Program Officer and Vice President of Research and Innovation, Theresa works to improve access to mental health care through data and digital based innovations. Her areas of special interest include prevention, early intervention, education, and building a full recovery-oriented mental health system of care. Theresa manages MHA’s programs including MHA Screening, The State of Mental Health in America, and Workplace Wellness. She oversees MHA’s research which explores the integration of peers into research, the use of technology to support people in the earliest stages of recovery, and how large scale data provides insight into gaps in supports systems across the country. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has over 15 years of experience in mental health as a clinician, educator and advocate. Her clinical experience focused on working with children and adults with serious mental illness, homelessness, dual diagnosis treatment, and early intervention of psychosis. As an advocate she worked to build a consumer based mental health workforce, to improve access to treatment through community based and recovery oriented mental health programs, and to address needs of underserved communities. She is an adjunct professor in California and has taught courses covering Mental Health Recovery, Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Social Welfare Policy. Prior to joining MHA National, Theresa worked at both MHALA (Los Angeles, CA) and MHAOC (Orange County, CA).

Mike started at BOSTI, a firm that pioneered the use of analytics to show how workspace design affects employee performance – and was a contributor to an influential set of books that changed the industry. Later, he was a professor in the Interior Design, and Industrial Engineering departments, at the University of Wisconsin.
Mike has a BA in cognitive psychology, an M. Arch and PhD in Architecture and Human Behavior. He is a Board-Certified Professional Ergonomist. A frequent public speaker, Mike has authored 50+ articles, two books on workplace research and design, and a third, 2018 book, The Healthy Workplace Nudge. His passion is applying workspace research and analytic tools to help organizations reduce stress and improve workforce health and performance.


JIM PURCELL
RETURNS ON WELLBEING INSTITUTE

Jim Purcell is the former CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He brings a multidisciplinary perspective that helps audiences understand how to invest in a proven approach for boosting employee physical, mental/emotional, and financial wellbeing and engagement.
Jim explains why low employee wellbeing is eroding profits, how preventable chronic illness accounts for 70% of employer healthcare costs, and how mental, emotional and financial stress is causing low employee engagement and productivity, high turnover, and poor customer service.
His message is simple: the only way employers’ can stop these losses is by addressing employees’ physical, mental/emotional, and financial wellbeing.
Jim draws on data from Deloitte to Gallup that show that whole-person employee wellbeing can deliver enormous returns, including greater engagement and lower turnover, and why employee wellbeing must become a strategic imperative.
Jim founded the Returns On Wellbeing Institute in 2018 to provide a practical, evidence-based framework for designing and implementing effective workplace wellbeing cultures and programs. Along with a team of expert practitioners, he’s conducting research to identify best wellbeing practices. He is a contributor to Forbes.com, and is working on a book to be published in 2021.
Jim graduated from Cornell University and served in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne Division Pathfinder Team. He attended Boston University Law School, graduating magna cum laude, and practiced as a healthcare trial lawyer for 25 years before becoming COO and later CEO of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.

He began his career on Wall Street in the Investment Banking divisions of Prudential Securities and Patricof & Co.
Ian earned an MBA from Columbia University & UC Berkeley’s HAAS School of Business, where he taught entrepreneurship upon graduation. He earned a BS in Economics from Cornell University.


DR NICK TAYLOR

From a young age, Nick had a deep fascination with the human mind. This passion guided him to volunteer as a Samaritan and then as a support worker for the mental health charity, Mind, before studying psychology and gaining his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Sheffield, and embarking on a career with the National Health Service as a clinical psychologist.
While leading a team in the NHS, Nick became interested in corporate wellness, and how organisations can benefit from looking after their employees. He realised there was a clear gap in the market for a platform that enabled organisations to offer employees proactive and preventative wellbeing support. It was this vision that led Nick to co-found Unmind in 2016.
