Asics

In 1949, ASICS founder Kihachiro Onitsuka had the ambition to use sport to improve the physical and mental health of young people in post-war Japan. His guiding principle was to achieve a sound mind in a sound body or Anima Sana In Corpore Sano. He recognised that through movement people could improve their mental wellbeing and he dedicated his life and ASICS to improving the lives of others. Today, the values that defined ASICS 70 years ago, are still very much alive. ASICS believes in the power of sport to improve the mind, because sport is more than the physical activity itself. It frees the mind, and by doing so helps people feel better. Which is why ASICS designs and develops technologically advanced footwear and apparel, for the ultimate feeling of comfort, support and performance.
