Karen Brookes

Karen Brookes joined Sir Robert McAlpine in 2017 and is currently a Board Director responsible for People, Property & Facilities Management and Shared Services.  She is the Board sponsor for the Socio Economic Affinity Network and is passionate about the role organisations can play in supporting people who have disadvantages in life, such as homelessness, ex. offender rehabilitation and supporting ex. military personnel back in civilian life. Karen is an Executive Director with over 30 years’ experience in human resources in both the public and private sectors, supporting businesses in the consultancy, construction, retail and sales + marketing industries. She has led and successfully implemented major business change programmes focussed on creating long term sustainable value through engagement and empowerment of employees and teams.
